Ana Gasteyer – Poway Center For The Performing Arts

November 4, 2017 | 8pm

EVENT:

Ana Gasteyer

DESCRIPTION:

Film, television and stage actress Ana Gasteyer is returning to Southern CA on Saturday, November 4, 2017 for a special one-night-only concert at the beautiful Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Gasteyer starred in six seasons of the late-night sketch comedy and variety series “Saturday Light Live” before appearing in cult classic films like “Mean Girls.” Most recently, she appeared in ABC’s “The Goldbergs” and can be currently seen in the TBS comedy “People of Earth.”

In 2005, Gasteyer took flight as Elphaba in the Chicago resident production of “Wicked” and later transferred to Broadway for a limited-time engagement. Last December, Gasteyer made her symphonic debut with the Long Beach Symphony performing selections from her current Jazz album “I’m Hip.”

Her first single, a rousing rendition of Rudy Toombs classic “One Mint Julep” sets the tone for the entire album, full of sass with a little bit of brass.  Audiences in attendance on Saturday evening can also expect to hear songs like “Defying Gravity” as well as stories from Gasteyer’s illustrious career.

And stay tuned for my interview with Ana Gasteyer coming soon to Ivan Steel Presents.
